Where to start with this experience...one star is generous. First of all, I appreciate when a restaraunt makes it easy for me to decide if I will ever be back or not, in this case I will avoid Sneakers like the plague. The customer service (top of my list of importance) was a joke, if you called it customer service. It seems that customer relations must be paid for in this establishment. We arrived with the family, some friends and myself after looking for somewhere to kick off our night in jax beach. From the outside this place seemed upbeat and welcoming...wrong! I should have taken the first hint when we walked through the door; empty sports bar on a saturday night with world series baseball on... After a reccomendation from the server, my fiancee and I ordered the ribs, she got a half rack of the cajun honey bbq, I got the full rack of carolina gold. Unfortunately the ribs were nowhere near a quality that I would want to be served. Advertised as fall of the bone and so tender you could eat with a fork, they were far from it. More like chewy and kept on display under a heat lamp for hours. So bad that my fiancee refused to eat them and sent them back. When the server took them he made no mention of charging policies. She said she would hold on to the sides and just get some wings instead, again...no mention of return policies from the server. After the meal it was time for the check, and guess what, her ribs were on there, full price. When the server handed me the check he said he could reduce the price of the check if I wanted. Uh hello, OF COURSE, I don't want to pay for a poorly prepared meal we didn't consume. So he comes back and has only taking a couple bucks off, saying that it is store policy to prorate the meal if it is returned, and because she kept her sides she would be charged individually for these. Again, he made no mention of store policies when initially asked to return. At this point we asked to see a manager, NO MANAGER CAME!! Are you kidding me, this is the worst display of customer service I have seen. After several more minutes the server came back with an ammended check, this time the manager he talked to said they could take the meal off, but had to charge her for one of her sides, the fries, and they cost $4.99. After relenting to pay five bucks for an average size basket of fries, I paid the check and made my way out the door, we had shit to do. Another thing to note is the upcharge fees. A member of our party on a seperate check is a diabetic, and ordere 5 wings which come with fries. He asked that instead of fries he get the steamed vegetables. Again, no mention of store policies at this time. When he got his check, there was a $2.50 charge to "upgrade" a side. The math didn't make sense??? So a small cup of steamed vegetables costs more than you're magical $4.99 fries???? Get out of town. This place must stay in business solely on upgrade fees and liqour sales. My family and I were severely dissappointed with the fiasco of a meal this was. Ruined my night...

There is a strict code, which I completely understand - but they targeted my friend's 6 year old son for wearing a sleeveless shirt on a 101 degree day. It also made me question whether they were profiling (he is AF AM). There were other older patrons on the patio wearing the same kind of shirt. The manager offered no explanation for his refusal of service. We will not be returning to this place ever again.

I've eaten here plenty of times. Its really nothing special - same typical sports bar food, autographed jerseys hanging in frames on the wall, TVs all over the place, a few big screens, cheerleader-outfitted servers, etc. I'm writing this review mainly because of the location and outside patio, which both score this Sneakers some major points. The location is prime time. The garage door-esque openings of the patio let the breeze in and let you observe the scenery. Sitting outside right along the main strip of Jax Beach is just awesome. The service is fairly prompt and everyone is friendly. A good place to watch the game and then go stroll the beach.

Located in Jax beach, this place is a 12,000 square foot sports bar originally owned partially by the famed right guard of the Jaguars, Tony Boselli. One of the largest sports themed Jacksonville restaurants. It became an immediate Jacksonville Beach landmark when it opened in August, 2001. There's plenty of sports memorabilia, monster televisions, a large horseshoe bar in the middle, and another "open air" bar facing First St. The menu here is beer and, well, sports food. One local TV station broadcasts their Jaguars show from here during the season. Sneakers, no doubt, will be a major Super Bowl Destination for those of us without tickets! Sneakers Sports Grille was voted number 2 on MSN.com city search for steaks, second only to Ruth Chris. MSN.com city search also named Sneakers Sports Grille the best sports bar in Jacksonville and one of the top ten sports bars in the country. I come for the drinks and maybe something to munch on like their Cesar salad with blacken chicken or stacked nachos.

It took about 20 minutes to get a menu and another 20 minutes to order. Luckily it only took 15 more minutes to get our drinks. The prime ribs I ordered were horrible. My colleague seem to think his quesadilla was decent. I must have ordered the wrong stuff. Fortunately for me, the weather was awesome at the time. It was 75 degree with a slight sea breeze. I enjoyed the night regardless. You are probably wondering how this place got 3 stars by now. Well, it wasn't because of the waitresses in cheerchealer outfits. It was the appetizers that didn't arrive until after I was done with the god awful prime ribs. Those wings taste fresh out of the purdue package. There was 0 frozen taste to it. They were nice and tender. The waiter did suggest blackened wings, which left the skin crispy and delicious while the meat inside stayed soft, fresh and juicy. The wings alone deserves 3 stars. I will go back just for the wings.

Let's start with their dress code. Yes I said dress code for a sports bar a block from the beach. I met my parents up there and I was promptly asked to turn my hat around because the owner doesn't like it. That was the only thing that was prompt. I wear my hat backwards cause I don't like to see the bill of my cap while trying to watch a game on your poor quality picture of a screen. I ordered a burger, medium rare and I got a cold raw burger that was just seared on the outside. It was disgusting. The waitstaff had better things to do than wait on their tables. It took forever just to get a pitcher of beer. In a poor economy you would think they'd be more interested in quality control of food not controlling the customers attire because of the owner's stereotyping of people. Never again will I go there!!!

This place is HUGE!!! There are tons of TV's, tables, and staff. They have a full liquor bar, which is pretty convenient for those that like to drink. Their cheese fries are to die for, but let's not forget their steaks and garlic potatoes, omg... DELICIOUS! The only bad thing was that when they brought out the dishes, the plates were extremely hot and I burned my arm, but it wasn't worth getting upset over it, I was in vacation and didn't want to stress..lol This place is fun and they have great food!

Everyone suggested this place on our visit to Jacksonville Beach... We will not suggest this place, the food was BLAND.... it seems to be a good place to go hang out and catch a game

There is nothing here that stands out. The food was okay, the televisions were outdated. The server took 15min to acknowledge a group of 12 people. The drinks were the best part, since they were priced reasonably. This place is good for groups, although I wouldn't come here if a big sports game wasn't on.

Are you guys kidding me? We loved this place! Came in for the chiefs game. The place was packed, oarking was free. Everybody was friendly and super helpful, and the food and atmosphere were spectacular. Not sure why it got poor reviews before. We would definitely recommend it!!

After reading some of the reviews I have to agree with most of you when you say the service is horrible. The wait staff isn't very friendly, and are very slow. However this sports bar is pretty cool with the amount of Tvs and projector screens. Hope management reads some of these reviews and tries to fix it (:

Nasty, smells funny, and terrible service. Got the chicken tenders and received two and half tenders that looked like small fried lizards. Never gong here again.

If you come on game day this is the bar to be at! They have televisions everywhere with every game you can think of playing! There have different drink specials for different days of the week. My favorite thing at Sneakers to eat would be the buffalo chicken salad (you can have your chicken tenders tossed in ANY sauce that is on the menu and even mix them two together) or the Black and Bleu salad, topped with steak, red onions, blue cheese crumbles...It will take you by surprise to find food this good at a sports bar. The staff is friendly and fun! I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

We were the only ones there at lunch. Ordered a salad and the croutons were mushy. Must've sat from the night before. We understood why everyone else ate elsewhere.

Drinks were tasty. Food was eh. I had the wings and fries. The fries were good but the wings could have cooked a little longer. And i got the hotest wings but they werent hot. My sis did like her buffalo shrimp salad.

Good food, good service, cool environment. Has some huge projector TVs in the restaurant. Can get very crowded and loud though

This is mine and my boyfriends second time here. We came once a year ago just for a few beers and sat on the outdoor covered patio. We had a very friendly bartender who told us about local places that had live music. We were extremely satisfied with her recommendations. Also a great selection of beers on tap. We came on a Sunday our second time and the waiter, Quay, recommended the chicken wings which were very meaty and delicious. I also got the buffalo shrimp which were mouth wateringly delicious. The only thing I wasn't a fan of were the French fries but that will not stop me from coming back. The service was also great, Quay did a great job taking care of us and making sure we were happy so I definitely recommend asking for him. All in all this is a great place and I will be visiting again.

Most unusual experience to say the least. My friends and I went to Sneakers on a slow Thursday night. We were seated quickly but waited over ten minutes before we saw anyone. We were ready to get up and leave when the hostess came over to get our drinks. Our waitress finally came over and stated she was sorry because it was "crazy"! We ordered our food, two taco salads, a ceasar salad, and a philly cheese steak. The salads came out with no dressing and the bread on the philly was extremely stale. The waitress stated, "I am sorry that I have neglected you. I really do care." To make a long story short, avoid this place!

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat at the beaches with my family for a quick lunch. Now it's turned into a fiasco every time. I believe I got mad last time I had to pay to park in their parking lot... luckily I had cash that time I washed it up as an "one time deal". Yesterday my wife and I took our daughter here to get some macaroni & cheese (they have a cake that's amazing according to my wife), yet we weren't allowed to park at the restaurant without paying $5 to pull into the parking lot. All the public parking in the area was taken due to a festival going on across the lot. I explained to the gentleman at the gate that my wife and I were just going in to get lunch with our daughter, we would return to our car after eating and leave. Yet, he was insistent. So I told him I would go in and talk to the manager, which we had no luck with either. They did suggest however that I could use their ATM (that they make a fee on) to withdrawal money to pay the parking attendant and then they would "refund" me $5.00 of my bill. I even told him that if he waived my ATM fee (or reimbursed me) I would eat there. We were refused, and told it was the "owner's policy". Even the manager admitted that he didn't agree with this move yet there was nothing that he could do. We decided to go eat down at Sliders and were allowed free parking, friendly smiling staff, cold beer, good music and delicious food. We won't be returning unfortunately.

Wish I would've know about this place the 1st day I arrived! Sneakers Sports Grill is the ideal spot for a true sports fan, so many TV's with every sport rather it be football, golf, or Nascar..there is nowhere you can turn your head That you won't catch some type of sporting event or ESPN breaking news...pretty much means there is no BAD SEAT IN THE ENTIRE SPOT! Not to mention the theatre size screen located on the wall next to a big a** Nascar! Customer service was excellent! And from what I could tell, the food was pretty good because my party of 6 finished their meals under 10 mins. Located directly across the street from the beach so very convient. If you can't free parking in that area Sneakers offers 5$ parking which is pretty darn resonable to me plus if you take your parking receipt in with you, you receive 5$ off your meal! So yea you break even... I am a fan and will be returing!...

What ever you do don't order Nachos. We had a party of 6 and one person orders them as appetizer and never got them. We ordered them as dinner and the cheese was shredded not even melted and only on the first layer of chips. If you like cold plain nachos this is the place for you. The establishment was not even busy so no excuse for this. Another person in our party ordered a chicken sandwich and it was like rubber could not even eat it.

We decided to go to the Belk Music Festival @ Jax Beach.... we were able to park in their parking lot and offered $5 off your bill when U presented the parking stub. So after walking around and taking in the sights & sounds of the music fest we decided to go eat. We both had burgers with blue cheese & bacon with seasoned fries. the menu was affordable, service was great and atmosphere very cool. we will put this in our Jacksonville Beach restaurant rotation.

I wish I could get negative -100 stars. This may well be the worst restaurant I've been to in my entire life. Went on a Sunday to watch NFL games a little while back. Walk in and are immediately told we can't wear our NFL hats backwards...at a sports bar...on a football Sunday...one block away from the beach. Tanks are also not allowed at this apparently upscale sports bar. The one saving grace this place has is the amount of projectors - you will not miss your game here, and that is nice as there aren't many other Sunday Ticket options at the beach. However, the food is a complete joke. The mozzarella sticks should have been renamed fried bread crumb sticks, because they were completely devoid of cheese, save for one that was pretty good. The chicken was fried beyond recognition and dry as a desert on the inside. The fries were good, but only because they were battered. When you need to make your fries even unhealthier to make them good, you have a problem. The service was very slow, and the server even openly admitted to us the place was terribly run and going downhill. When your own staff doesn't believe in the place, what do you expect? Avoid like the plague.

Sneakers what happened!?!?! We use to love the fried pickles. They use to be batter made and awesome. Now the have cheap breading that doesn't stick the spears are way too big. Even my husbands fish and chips were bad. The fish was cheap mushy frozen fish with the same crappy breading. The service was horrible too. We understand your busy but I saw wait staff standing around and goofing off....so you can't be THAT busy. We waited half hour for the food! Not good customer service. The only good side was my bake potato was good. One of 2 vegetarian items. So boo to you for not catering to vegetarians. And my father in laws sandwich was good so he said. So all in all CRAPPY food and CRAPPY service = we will not be back!

Me and my wife watched the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight here. The waitresses were helpful and we enjoyed our large sized appetizer that we shared (loaded nachos). It was well organized and we would come back again.

I took one for the team today....do not waist your time or money. The food was horrible. How can you go wrong with spinach dip? The cheese formed a hard inedible lump in the middle if the dish. The grilled chicken on my steakhouse salad was bitter from being burnt... not grilled. And to top it off they ran my credit card twice; once for my bill and for the other person in my party. Not a happy customer.

Such a shame to have such a large sports bar filled with TVs, projectors and a nice central bar be put to waste due to poor management. My friends and I have given Sneakers several chances, the latest of which included a night there to watch the UF vs. Kentucky basketball game. Although our server last night was very nice (and he was the fastest server I've ever had there), service is consistently slow here, especially when you first get in the door. I want so badly to like Sneakers, but my view of it has been tainted by slow service, servers who don't even know their own menu or what's on draft (it's a sports bar, the menu doesn't change and you're probably going to be having customers regularly ordering beer), and the low quality of food. If this place started offering more drink specials for big games, upgraded their food options to something fresher than a plate of food that's been sitting under a heat lamp and incentivized their servers to make their rounds a little faster, this bar would be a big hit.

BEWARE, OUTDOOR PATIO IS NOT KID FRIENDLY. SMOKING IS ALLOWED. After receiving my food, the Chicken Strip Basket, I quickly realized that there was a long black string of HAIR wrapped around a piece of chicken. I immediately told the waiter about the problem and he said that he would replace it and so I waited and waited and waited for about 25 min. My waiter finally came back and asked if I got my food and I replied NO and asked for a "To-Go" box. When I received my food and check they didn't even bother with a discount for my troubles. After receiving my check I asked for a discount and they gave me a small discount. (which was about the same price as the tax) I'm definitely not coming back ever again!!!

I cannot say anything about the food in this place-- mainly because we didn't even get that far due to the service. We walked in with one group ahead of us talking to the hostess. Apparently they had already been struggling to get a table. Even though the restaurant was largely empty, they were LARGELY understaff. We should have taken this as a sign to leave then and there. The hostess never once acknowledged our presence throughout the whole ordeal. She did, however, manage to get a table for the family that walked in behind us and went around the line. She also repeatedly left the front of the restaurant completely unintended with customers asking US what was going on. The line continued to grow behind us. That was until after waiting for 15 minutes she announced to everyone there was a 25 min wait before she would even sit anyone.

I used to go here for a late dinner when I lived on this side of town. The food is good. I do like their buffalo chicken wrap which I find to be spicy. The service has always been good when I've gone there. I've rarely ever see the place packed out but on a saturday afternoon there will be a crowd in there. It's about a block away from the beach which is nice if you want to grab food after a day at the beach. I've never had any issue finding a free parking spot by the building which is always a plus near the beach.

It may be hard to top this awful, awful experience. Since we arrived and the hostess was MIA for 10 mins -things just went downhill from there. Service too slow, food bad, no drink refills, no silverware (I had to go to bar and asked bar attendant for water he was clearly annoyed with me for asking. Then I went to the waiters station fishing for silverware when our appetizers came and waitress was MIA for about 20' Then she showed up and asked if we could close the check with her (before our full food order came) because she was leaving but she said someone was bringing the rest of the food. We hesitantly did as she asked because up to this point we were not impressed. And what do you know? The rest of the food never materialized and it was a huge challenge to get the food we didn't consumed credited. The manager seemed to not know what they did wrong and was offended we complained at all. He sent the food which we had ordered an hour ago and we didn't want anymore but he sent it anyway and it was cold and just inedible. We had to hunt down the waitress (remember the one who was supposedly leaving 30min ago?) and she had to go fight the manager to credit the last dish to our bill he said we should've said something about it before. Before when? We ordered and paid for it a long time ago and it just arrived! And it's NOT good!! Goodness gracious!! This is beyond ridiculous!! I feel bad for the poor customers that are walking in they do not know what they are in for!!

Hotel was across the street and this place was convenient. I was pleasantly surprised. Sat outside on a beautiful night and enjoyed the breeze, some peel and eats, wings and some beer. Don't know why this place has any bad reviews everyone was nothing but helpful and nice. One of the waiters even said "bless you" when I sneezed and he wasn't my waiter and was 4 tables away. Great peeps, food and brews!

We walked in, waited for 15 minutes, and still didn't even get to tell the hostess how many people were in the group. She was so busy cleaning up other tables and seating people that came after us even though we were only second in line! When you walk in, you get so excited because of the huge televisions and projector screens. We thought we would be seated right away, seeing as the restaurant was half empty... silly us. Should have actually read the yelp reviews beforehand. I don't see why the restaurant is so big when they are obviously not able to handle all the customers it can fit.

This is advice of the optometry students visiting Jacksonville for TVCI: You can use your $30 voucher on your first night here, they even do room service, if you're too lazy to walk, literally, a minute from your room. We opted to use our voucher for a real meal (if you can call it that) at Outback and ended our night here at Sneakers. I like to refer to Sneakers as the biggest, most empty bar in the world! It is very big, and as implied, has tons of seating! Granted, I visited on a Wed and Thurs night (yes, twice in a row). On wed the domestic beers were $1! I opted for a capt'n and coke, a double was around $9, which is reasonably priced. We also tried the Gator Bites which were really good! When in FL, try the cuisine! The spice in the batter of the bites was really good and flavorful. It was like popcorn chicken, but chewier and with a more distinct taste. They also give you a cajun ranch to dip, which I enjoyed. Try it! They are market price, but our night we paid, $11.99 for a little basket, shown in the photo I uploaded. They have tons of pool tables that are free to play and a few arcade games, although they weren't the popular attraction. We came here because of the great convenience of the location. Some people took a taxi to the beach, but since my group was from CA, we just walked over to the bar. You have to make your own atmosphere because it is relatively empty. But once you do that and create a mood of your own, it is fun!

A lot of TVs, decent place to hangout and watch a game, lots of room, but the drinks are not cheap. I had their wings and they were alright. I tried the dry rub Caribbean jerk which didn't taste like jerk at all, but dry rub wasn't terrible. I also had the spicy garlic which was good. I'm torn between 2 and 3 stars. I think the prices here are inflated and the service from our bartender was probably the worst service I've ever received. There were less than 10 people at the bar and it took FOREVER to get him to look up at us, to get a drink, a menu, or place an order. It was pathetic; we actually had to raise our hand and yell at the guy when he was standing in front of us. I really began to think he was partially blind.

On an extremely slow night, Tiz was extremely courteous and pleasant. The business is definitely set up to accommodate a huge influx of patrons. If I were to ever visit the Jacksonville Beach area again for business, I would definitely visit here again.

My family recently ordered take out Chicken Wings at Sneakers. When they arrived at the house, they looked gray. We noticed immediately a strange smell coming from the wings. Upon closer inspection we could see the wings were very old and potentially rotten. This place is usually packed during major sporting events, but dead otherwise. This is due to the continued decline in the quality of food... Period.

I signed up for Yelp for the sole purpose of reviewing this lousy arse restaurant. Came here months ago but the horrible experience is too hard to forget. Came for wings on a busy game night, I forgot exactly what game was on though. Waited at the door about 15 mins while the hostess just stared at us and continued to talk to her friends (short brunette pregnant chick so whoever was pregnant sometime last yr thats the one!) No greeting or service whatsoever. That should have been my indicator to leave but I was starving and that was the only thing open on the beach that time of night. Anywho after basically huffing and puffing for some type of service I was finally seated. So after waiting for a waitress another 10 more min, I had to physically get up and find a manager for us to get some type of service. Only for me to get back to my seat and watch the manager and other waitress laugh hysterically at me out of the corner of my eye. Seriously the entire staff looked DRUNK. The waitresses were disoriented, the manager's ( blond short haired dude in all black attire) eyes were bloodshoot red and glazed over just unprofessional. So after a waitress relunctantly came to take our order she brought us back the WRONG drinks. At the point I had had enough & I'd rather go to sleep hungry than waste one more minute in that place. The Sneakers on Point Meadows is 10 times BETTER! Dont waste your time or money.

A great sports bar!! Huge and spacious with TVs accessible to every table and booth. There were multiple huge screens too, at least 4. We arrived 1 hr before the NFL games (go E-A-G-L-E-S) started so we just missed the lunch ordering rush which was a huge plus! Our server was Manny and might possibly be one of the best servers I have had this year. I'm sure waiting tables can b annoying - that's why I never opted to take that as a job - so anytime I run into a server that is naturally friendly, I love it!! Also, even though a server may be really good at their job, doesn't always mean they are friendly. Manny made this visit a great experience. He joked around, gave us suggestions on what to get and was just genuinely hilarious; And anyone that can make me laugh, earns mega points. Being from Philly it is hard to please me with anything with the title "Philly" in the title at a restaurant because I KNOW "Philly" style food. However, I always have to try it and judge! ha! So, we got the Philly steak nachos to start and the cut of the Philly steak was amazing. They were not an overwhelming portion either so that is good. I would have rather real cheddar instead of nacho cheese but it was still really yummy! Also, this bar won me over because they had Woodchuck Cider on tap, FOR THE WIN! For lunch I chose the fajita quesadillas and they were pretty good. Again, the portion was a good size, but the filling was minimal too and could have used a bit more chicken and cheese. Overall, pretty good sports bar experience and I was very pelase!

Wonderful location! Beautiful bar! But they may want to train the staff here. The food came out fast but the waiter was really slow getting our tickets. I believe she was new so I didn't give her a hard time. Wings were awesome and martinis were good! Definitely will come back it has potential.

I'm honestly surprised as to how well others have rated this place, considering most of the bad reviews revolve around one thing; HORRIBLE SERVICE! I'd hate to believe that locals have grown accustom to this mentality, but that seems to be the case as my time here grows longer. I can't imagine this place receiving more than one star for processed frozen food. One of the worst dinning experiences I've ever had! My first experience was with some friends that had already arrived so I joined them at their table. I asked the waitress what they had on tap and I got the deer in the headlights look. Not a big deal, maybe she was new, said she would be right back. Waited about 10 minutes and decided I'd have better luck getting a drink by just going straight to the bar outside. Keep in mind that this was early afternoon and the place was empty. I go outside to the empty bar and take a seat. The bartender was near the register texting. Again, not a big deal, he saw me sit down, i figured he would put the phone down and help me out. Not a chance! Waited another 10 minutes for him to finish his text and serve me an overpriced beer. The last time I went there, my wife and I met up with another couple, had one drink and left due to the lack of customer service skills the bartenders possessed. "What do you want?" is not appropriate when asking a paying customer how you can service them. Unfortunately this has been, and most likely will remain a "hotspot" at the beach. Losing a few customers is the least of their worries, the saddest part is that they know this and they let you leave with a smile on their face and a "good riddance" attitude. Don't waste your time here. There's a handful of much better establishments within walking distance that genuinely appreciate their customers.

The Worst customer service ever!!! My husband & I along with our friend and his wife sat at the bar for a Saturday night drink & appetizer. The young girl took our husbands drinks & us girls were ignored! We waited about 20 minutes , trying to get the girls attention & would have ordered a drink and appetizer however decided to pay for the 2 drinks & head out the door! Mind you there were about 3 other guys at the bar who already had their drinks, so its not like they had their hands full. Maybe she thought with those short shorts she would get her tips from the guys, however no tip tonight with the attitude&poor service. We were also new in town & figured out weekends at the beaches are more like a teen &college kids party zone. No more nights out to the beaches during the weekend! Oh & what is horrible is that there are so MANY other people that have posted poor reviews about the KNOWN lack of customer service at this place , but management will most likely keep the same young, conceited, rude girls to "service" or stand at their bar so naive young guys can continue buying their overpriced cheap beer!

Sneakers is like a hot girl you see down the beach. Good from a far, but far from good! It looks good inside and out, but crappy service. The hostess that sat us took better care of us than our waitress. Our hostess saw us about to walk out after nearly 15 minutes after being sat and took our drink order. Our waitress was a space cadet that forgot to wear her helmet in Public. When she wasn't flirting with with the 60 old men, she was frolicking around the restaurant. We saw her once to order our food and only once more to pay our check after that. I tried to wave her down in between, but she just waved back. Again, not sure she knew what she was doing food was nothing to be desired either. We stayed a few days and went to a bunch cool restaurants and bars. Not sure how this place stays open. Do yourself a favor and go just about anywhere else.

This bar has a great location, and a good ambiance. Personally I prefer the large area of the outdoor bar. if you are there with a bunch of friends during the off-season or in between games the Trivia game they offer (broadcast on their TVs and played on wireless keypads) is a lot of fun. However, all of the Sneakers locations are a little over priced when it comes to their drinks. Certainly not enough to keep me from ever going, but enough to keep it from becoming my regular watering hole. If I have the itch to sit outside, near the beach, and drink alcohol this place is my first thought. Outside of that though there are better deals to be had elsewhere.

If you like cold beer - and appreciate the frosted glass - this is a great spot. If you're looking for a cool sports atmosphere - maybe to watch a game with some friends - this is a great spot. If you are a foodie - ahh, maybe you should look else where.

I'll start by saying that the environment is great for a sports bar! The TV screens are huge, seats are well arranged and comfortable, noise level is just right..It's a fun place to go to for drinks. Last time I got BBQ ribs there, I was very impressed with them - they were so perfectly prepared! After that great experience, my husband and I decided to visit again this past weekend and were so disappointed, I doubt we'd ever eat there again. I started with a side salad. I know it's nothing fancy, but the greens in mine were so old, they were falling apart. You know when salad gets to the stage when you throw it away..only they served it instead. I asked for replacement. New salad had fresh greens. Then came the ribs..first disappointment was right when I took the first bite - really chewy. I didn't say anything - thought it was just a bad spot. Nope. The whole thing was chewy and poorly prepared. The cole slaw was like soaked in water - zero flavor. Nothing like last time..and this is only a few weeks. Either something changed, or the quality of the food is inconsistent. Very likely to not go back there again for food again - just drinks.

Massive projector screens, lots of tvs. Poor service we had to track down a server, food is passable, at best.

The food was pretty good. 6 LARGE screens to watch the games on in addition to smaller screens around the bar.

I came down to have a vacation and this place almost ruined it. Went there to sit on the patio and watch a football game. Wouldn't put my big SEC vs SEC game on outside so made a deal with waiter on the patio and hostess to sit inside and move out when they were willing to play it. Got done eating and and moved to an empty table with a terrible view outside on the patio. The same waiter came up to me and my friend and said "What are you going to come out here and order water." And continued to refuse to let us sit there despite having open tables. I reminded him that this is what he, his hostess, my friend, and I had all talked about and he went to get the manager to remove us. I also told him I wouldnt sit in his section all night without tipping him. He acted like he was going to remove us no matter what. He went and to the manager and pointed at us like we were doing something wrong. The manager and I went to the hostess and she lied and pretended she didn't remember the 5 min seating conversation we had less than an hour ago. The manager supported his staff saying that he was just worried we were going to sit in his section and order water for the next 6 hours (we were watching 2 full games, like we weren;t going to order) and offered to move us back inside. They removed the game I was watching from the tv and then the server refused to serve us. We left because the manager did NOTHING and the server was rude. We had planned to eat and drink, but he popped off at the mouth to us before even getting to know what we were going to do. Terrible. Very angry and ruined my entire evening. Food was ok, but nothing to crave when I go back to GA. Missed 3/4th of the game driving to another location.

This beach bar served my nephew a wing that had already been eaten. It was on the bottom of the order so he had eaten 3 or 4 wings when he discovered it. We were all so grossed out. The manager came over and gently insinuated that we had made the story up. He then begrudgingly took the wings off our bill. Meanwhile the kids and adults were sick to their stomach. This place is unsanitary at best and dangerous at worst. My first call Monday morning is to the health department. Do not eat here.

Yummy! This place has a pretty decent beer selection, GREAT assortment of TVs of all sizes for game days, and the food is super yummy! As described in Neal J.'s review, our families ate here this past Sunday and my son was served a basket of wings that contained one that had been eaten down to the bone. When we informed the waitstaff, the manager came over and began with "If this happened . . ." I think we were all in such shock and disgust that we just calmly (and now regrettably) left in disbelief. Only now has it sunk in how absolutely vile the experience was. It's hard not to speculate about how the eaten wing ended up in the basket, or what a complete hazard it was/is to my young son. The manager, though, treated us with a degree of insincerity, incompetence, and disrespect that signals to me much deeper issues with this establishment. I will be warning all I encounter to avoid Sneakers.

Sneakers is big. There are a lot of tables. A lot of tvs [for all that sports watching, of course]. A lot of Jerseys donning the walls as far as the eye can see. Lots and lots of beer and wings and fries and nachos and chicken fingers [to provide sustenance during all of that intense sports game watching]. And a lot of sports fans. This is not your average, slightly dive-ish sports bar. It's bright and shiny and clean! It's a nice place, if you can imagine it. A sports bar that's nice? That seems like an oxymoron. But it's true. I am not a huge sports far, but I do enjoy the occasional game. And if you are in the mood to enjoy an occasional [or frequent] game, then this is a great place to go. It's a little like Disney's brand of sports bars, but it's clean and fun and energetic and pretty much as good as a sports bar can get.

Love the wing sauce selection. If you like watching football and racing then this is a good place to hang. Full bar-drink specials Well lit,and roomy-can get packed and run out of tables at times still though. A lot of staff. Decent grub and value. I am not a fan because I do not care for sports or sport bars but not bashing the place at all. Could be slightly less $$$ though for value and portions.

SUPERSIZE ME! Thats what I feel like yelling when I walk into this place. It's absolutely huge with a giant bar in the middle. Lots of tv's around which play various football, hockey, etc. If you're trying to watch a less popular sport like lacrosse or motorsports racing and it's crowded you're probably gonna have a hard time getting them to switch over. God forbid someone might miss out on the golf channel.... All the waitresses dress up in these little cheer leading outfits which suits some more then others. Little more refined then hooters but not by much. As far as the food goes its pretty standard sport bar. I tend to think it's a little over priced for jacksonville. It's 9.99 for a burger, 9.99 for a big thing of nachos. swea tea was only 1.85 which is fine sine it has unlimited refills. Honestly, you don't come to this place for the food. You come here to get your drink on, fantasize about where else you might find women wearing the same outfits, and if you're sober enough catch something athletic on the big screen. nuf said

Came to sneakers after being rained out at the players. Very impressed w the big screen tvs and got set up at a nice booth w a group to watch once coverage started again. The entire room and bar was filled w like people wanting to watch the coverage. A nice hostess turned two of the three large screen tvs on to the golf but left the sound on to the playoff basketball game between Oklahoma and Memphis. I inquired from our server and then a bartender if we could get the sound turned to the golf after hearing applause and oohs and ahhs from the entire crowd as golfers would make or miss a putt. I was given the same answer from each that the tvs were on timers and could not be switched for sound. I know your usual clientele might be of the basketball watching persuasion but with an entire restaurant and bar being filled w golf fans the week of the players a few miles away, which you are even having a special for the manager on duty should be fired. I wouldn't really mind that much but I was lied to by more than one employee because after the basketball game was over that lasted longer than scheduled and after sports center was on for a while the sound was then changed to golf... Just in time for the coverage to end due to darkness. I hope this issue will be resolved w management because we really had a lovely server and the meal was very nice as well as a great setting to watch sporting events. Great place to see games. Go there to watch games and drink, they have a full bar. Don't expect anything special as far as beer goes (typical Jax). While you're there, tolerate an appetizer to hold you over until you can go somewhere else when the game is over. I was there watching a game once while the seafood festival was going on nearby. I ducked out and snuck some seafood back in to eat! Beware of obnoxious Gator fans!

Good sports bar but not too friendly with motor sports enthusiasts. A group of 8 of us tried to watch F1 qualifying and were told they could not change the channel. What was on TV? Golf. Typical Jacksonville :-( I got an Idea how about a each table vote with $$ as to what is shown on the big screen?

Ah, I forgot about the best sports bars in Jax. How could I, when I always talk about how good their nachos and wings are? I've been many times to watch major sporting events in a fun atmosphere. My only problem is that they don't have enough TV screens. For example, if I look straight down at the floor, I can't see a TV. If you look anywhere else though, you get a great picture. I think their wings are really good. They are about twice the size of Hooter's or Winghouse and the sauce choices are good too. I already mentioned the nachos. The fried gator tail? Not so much. They have 3 locations I know of. One is on Baymeadows and 9a (newest), one is at Jax Beach and the other is on Atlantic (never been).

typical bar food. drinks : standard. overall experience : mediocre. im not a fan of the silly costume attire that they force the servers to wear. the server is always awesome. the potato slabs are ridiculously huge, but surprisngly -- kinda tasty for what they are. if I loved bar food, I'd rate this place higher because the food is alright.. it's never too loud in this place which I appreciate. it's right on 1st which is on the beach & they offer outdoor seating which can be nice. if you're in the area and are starving & want drinks -- why not?

Period.

After reading some of the reviews I have to agree with most of you when you say the service is horrible. The wait staff isn't very friendly, and are very slow. However this sports bar is pretty cool with the amount of Tvs and projector screens. Hope management reads some of these reviews and tries to fix it (:
(1)
Jordan L.
There is nothing here that stands out. The food was okay, the televisions were outdated. The server took 15min to acknowledge a group of 12 people. The drinks were the best part, since they were priced reasonably. This place is good for groups, although I wouldn't come here if a big sports game wasn't on.

Are you guys kidding me? We loved this place! Came in for the chiefs game. The place was packed, oarking was free. Everybody was friendly and super helpful, and the food and atmosphere were spectacular. Not sure why it got poor reviews before. We would definitely recommend it!!
(5)Andrea S.
After reading some of the reviews I have to agree with most of you when you say the service is horrible. The wait staff isn't very friendly, and are very slow. However this sports bar is pretty cool with the amount of Tvs and projector screens. Hope management reads some of these reviews and tries to fix it (:
(1)Sam R.
Nasty, smells funny, and terrible service. Got the chicken tenders and received two and half tenders that looked like small fried lizards. Never gong here again.
(1)Nina C.

(1)Catherine S.
Drinks were tasty. Food was eh. I had the wings and fries. The fries were good but the wings could have cooked a little longer. And i got the hotest wings but they werent hot. My sis did like her buffalo shrimp salad.
(3)Steven H.
Good food, good service, cool environment. Has some huge projector TVs in the restaurant. Can get very crowded and loud though
(4)Kate B.

(4)Chris L.
(1)Larry W.

(1)Lori G.
(1)Allen L.
Me and my wife watched the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight here. The waitresses were helpful and we enjoyed our large sized appetizer that we shared (loaded nachos). It was well organized and we would come back again.
(4)JT M.
Great place, huge and nice. Great wings.
(4)Shonda K.
(1)Caitlyn F.
(2)Riley D.
(1)Nicholas S.
(1)Whitney A.
(4)Sandy P.
(1)Crissie L.
(4)Tamara R.
Worst bar service ever....total waste of my time and money. Won't be back. I can be ignor3d at home for free!
(1)Haeyon L.

We stopped in for a break from the beach our server Manny was freaking awesome he was like a family member took super great care of us and kept it light and funny

(2)Bob L.
On an extremely slow night, Tiz was extremely courteous and pleasant. The business is definitely set up to accommodate a huge influx of patrons. If I were to ever visit the Jacksonville Beach area again for business, I would definitely visit here again.
(4)Will L.
Period.
(1)Jazzmene F.
(1)Colleen B.

(3)Sam Z.
(1)Heather Z.
(1)Steve C.
(1)Jon C.
(3)Ryan F.
If you like cold beer - and appreciate the frosted glass - this is a great spot. If you're looking for a cool sports atmosphere - maybe to watch a game with some friends - this is a great spot. If you are a foodie - ahh, maybe you should look else where.
(3)Gizelle A.
(2)John F.
Massive projector screens, lots of tvs. Poor service we had to track down a server, food is passable, at best.
(2)Martha M.
The food was pretty good. 6 LARGE screens to watch the games on in addition to smaller screens around the bar.
(4)Tracy G.
(1)Neal J.
(1)Connie W.
Went for the Steelers game yesterday and the service was not so great, but, the food was better this time! Sticking with my original theory!
(2)Alexis N.
Yummy! This place has a pretty decent beer selection, GREAT assortment of TVs of all sizes for game days, and the food is super yummy! The Philly Nachos are great! and the Pepper Jack Burger is perfectly spicy and cheesy! You can't go wrong hitting up this place for a game! PS - our waiter Manny was hilarious!! And so nice!
(4)Chris J.
(1)Hilary L.
(4)Mike R.
(3)William B.

It would just be nice if a main event happening in your hometown would be that one.

Food was decent, service was HORRIBLE!! Host complained about seating us and that set the tone. Lots of tvs, but football was the only thing playing. No baseball, no NASCAR. VERY loud.

One is on Baymeadows and 9a (newest), one is at Jax Beach and the other is on Atlantic (never been).

typical bar food. drinks : standard. overall experience : mediocre. im not a fan of the silly costume attire that they force the servers to wear. the server is always awesome. the potato slabs are ridiculously huge, but surprisngly -- kinda tasty for what they are. if I loved bar food, I'd rate this place higher because the food is alright.. it's never too loud in this place which I appreciate. it's right on 1st which is on the beach & they offer outdoor seating which can be nice. if you're in the area and are starving & want drinks -- why not?

tons of tvs. very big place. food is what you'd expect from a sports bar. lots of cute blond waitresses.

(1)Hilary L.
(4)Alexis N.
(4)Mike R.

(1)Connie W.
Went for the Steelers game yesterday and the service was not so great, but, the food was better this time! Sticking with my original theory!
(2)Ryan F.
If you like cold beer - and appreciate the frosted glass - this is a great spot. If you're looking for a cool sports atmosphere - maybe to watch a game with some friends - this is a great spot. If you are a foodie - ahh, maybe you should look else where.

(3)Ryan R.

(2)Ryan H.
(2)Bob L.

Period.

(4)Chris L.
(1)Larry W.
(3)Nina C.

(1)Lori G.
(1)Caitlyn F.
(2)Riley D.
(1)Whitney A.

After reading some of the reviews I have to agree with most of you when you say the service is horrible. The wait staff isn't very friendly, and are very slow. However this sports bar is pretty cool with the amount of Tvs and projector screens. Hope management reads some of these reviews and tries to fix it (:

There is nothing here that stands out. The food was okay, the televisions were outdated. The server took 15min to acknowledge a group of 12 people. The drinks were the best part, since they were priced reasonably. This place is good for groups, although I wouldn't come here if a big sports game wasn't on.

Nasty, smells funny, and terrible service. Got the chicken tenders and received two and half tenders that looked like small fried lizards. Never gong here again.

Worst bar service ever....total waste of my time and money. Won't be back. I can be ignor3d at home for free!
